The yatra had been halted on May 31 as continuous rainfall and unstable weather raised concerns about the safety of pilgrims traveling along the trekking route. During the suspension, officials closely monitored weather forecasts and carried out inspections to ensure the route remained safe for devotees.
According to local authorities, pilgrims have once again been allowed to proceed toward the sacred Kedarnath Temple under regulated conditions. Security personnel, disaster management teams, and medical units have been deployed along the route to assist travelers and maintain smooth movement.
Officials have advised pilgrims to follow weather updates, travel only during designated hours, and cooperate with authorities throughout the journey. The administration has also urged devotees to carry essential medicines, warm clothing, and rain protection due to the unpredictable mountain weather.
The reopening of the yatra has brought relief and enthusiasm among thousands of devotees who had been waiting to continue their spiritual journey. With improved conditions, the pilgrimage is expected to regain momentum in the coming days as more pilgrims arrive in Uttarakhand.

However, the temporary suspension of the Kedarnath Yatra has not affected Tirtha Yatra’s Char Dham Yatra operations. The recent disruption is not expected to impact Tirtha Yatra’s upcoming Char Dham Yatra batches scheduled from June 10–21, 2026; September 23–October 4, 2026; October 1–12, 2026; and October 24–November 4, 2026.
