Bhramari Shakti Peetha, Nashik

Devotees of Mata Bhramari will visit this temple to have the darshan of the goddess, seeking blessings of wealth, spiritual strength, knowledge, and inner peace.

Here in this magnificent temple, the shakti is worshipped in the form of Bhramari Devi. She is considered as the goddess of black bees. Lord Mahadeva is worshiped as Vriktaksh or Sarvasiddhish. Also, the word Sarvasiddhish means the one who fulfils all your wishes.

The goddess is 10 ft tall and is fully covered with sindoor. She is adorned with a silver crown, gold ornaments, and a beautiful saree.

Despite its profound spiritual energy, Janasthan Shakti Peetha remains less crowded, allowing devotees to experience peaceful and focused worship. Its understated presence makes it one of the most hidden yet powerful Shakti Peethas in Bharat.

The demon requested that he should not be killed by any two- or four-legged creature. Empowered by this boon, he became extremely arrogant and began tormenting all living beings on Earth and in heaven.

Distressed by his cruelty, the Devatas approached Lord Vishnu for a solution. However, he advised them to seek the blessings of Adi Para Shakti. The Goddess then manifested on Earth, fought a fierce battle with Arunasura, and ultimately sent a six-legged bee to slay the demon.

Unlike other temples with grand architecture, this temple features a simple and elegant cave-like structure. It is built in an ancient architectural style and is a two-storey structure.

This divine temple was constructed by Umabai Dabhade, the chief senapati of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaja. She was the first Maratha woman chief commander of the army who challenged the Peshwas.

To reach the temple atop the hill, devotees need to climb approximately 470 steps. Those who find it difficult to climb the steps can opt for the ropeway or lift facility.

At the base of the hill, there is a mall constructed having shops for pooja items, a food court, and other shops.
