Sthala Purana Tripurmalini Shakti Peetha
To stop Lord Shiva’s destructive dance, Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshana Chakra to cut Sati’s body into pieces. The places where these body parts fell became the Shakti Peethas.
Architecture of Tripurmalini Shakti Peetha
Amid the vast temple complex lies a Devi Talab, a large water tank that has existed since the time the temple was built. In fact, one could say the temple was constructed around the Devi Talab. Devotees perform parikrama (circumambulation) of this tank as a part of their devotion.
The temple’s flooring is marble, and the garbhagriha features a golden-domed roof. Adjacent to this garbha griha, there is a deity of Kali Devi.
However, recently this temple has undergone many renovations
Inside this vast temple complex, there is a replica of the Amarnath cave and the Vaishno Devi temple, constructed to make the devotees feel the divinity of Vaishno Devi.
Inside the temple complex, there is a diya that has been burning continuously for ages. This akanda jyoti has been present here, which indicates the presence of shakti.
