Tirtha Yatra Serves Annadana to 1,500+ devotees during Ratha Yatra 2026

On the sacred occasion of Jagannath Ratha Yatra 2026, Tirtha Yatra organized Annadana Seva on Jul 17, 2026, at an ancient Kunj Mutt in Puri, Odisha. More than 1,500 devotees were served freshly prepared hot prasadam as part of this noble initiative.

Every year, Tirtha Yatra organises Annadana to at least 1500 devotees from Bengal, Odisha & Vrindavana who travel to Sri Kshetra Jagannath Puri to witness the annual Ratha Yatra festival of Lord Jagannath. These devotees include sadhus, vaishnavas, sannyasis and nilachala-vasis. This charitable initiative was undertaken with the support of contribution made by at least 170 devotees across the world.

The Annadana was served continuously from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, ensuring that devotees arriving from different parts of the country received wholesome, freshly prepared hot prasadam after pulling the Ratha of Lord Jagannath and having His darshan. Every devotee relished the feast which consisted of rice, dal, paneer sabji, shak sabji, tomato chutney, kheer and rasagulla. Additionally, every devotee was given dakshina and an umbrella.

Guided by its motto of serving devotees and dham as a service to the Lord, Tirtha Yatra has consistently undertaken charitable initiatives during major pilgrimage festivals. The Annadana Seva was organized under the leadership of Sri Agrani Krishna Dasa, whose vision inspired the team to lovingly serve every pilgrim with devotion and care. Not just that, the opportunity is mainly transferred to our Tirtha Yatris who get connected to the spirit of pilgrimage through whatever seva they can offer.

The devotees expressed their heartfelt gratitude with joy, appreciating the warmth, hospitality, and selfless service extended by Tirtha Yatra team during this event. They all blessed the family of seva-kartas who donated for the Annadana Seva. We thank the following seva-kartas of Annadana and pray to Lord Jagannatha for protection, peace, and prosperity.
