State Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat confirmed that both hospitals will become operational before the yatra begins in April. The facilities will be equipped with oxygen support systems, emergency wards, critical care units, and trained healthcare professionals to handle high-altitude sickness and other medical emergencies common during the pilgrimage.
Ambulance Services and Emergency Response Upgraded
To enhance Uttarakhand Char Dham medical infrastructure, ambulance services on the Char Dham route will be doubled. Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances and 108 emergency services will be strategically deployed to reduce response time and improve disaster preparedness.
Officials stated that the state has been consistently upgrading health infrastructure, focusing on emergency response systems and connectivity in remote temple towns.
With expanded hospital capacity, enhanced ambulance coverage, and strengthened medical teams, the Uttarakhand government aims to make Char Dham Yatra 2026 safer, more organized, and pilgrim-friendly, ensuring timely treatment and improved healthcare support throughout the sacred journey.
