The gold-plated Kalash installation at Ambabai Temple Kolhapur was completed atop the shrine’s original 13.5-foot-tall, 200 kg copper pinnacle. The installation work began late Thursday night and concluded by 7:30 AM on Friday, coinciding with the auspicious combination of Friday, dedicated to Goddess Mahalaxmi, and the holy Adhik Maas period.
The historic ceremony attracted a large number of devotees eager to witness the ₹2.5 crore gold Kalash installed at Ambabai Temple and seek blessings from Goddess Mahalaxmi. Temple authorities described the offering as a symbol of faith, devotion, and prosperity.
