The 13th-century Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is admired for its exquisite stone carvings and intricate architecture symbolizing the chariot of the Sun God. The Nata Mandir, known for its detailed sculptures of celestial dancers and musicians, has long been a highlight for visitors.

ASI officials stated that the restriction is temporary and aimed at ensuring public safety, as the stone steps and platforms have become uneven and slippery due to age and weathering. “Visitor safety and monument preservation are our priorities,” an ASI spokesperson said.
Tourists can still view the Nata Mandir from a safe distance, as ASI plans to add protective barriers and improved viewing areas.
