The month of Ashadha considered very auspicious and holds immense religious significance for Chamundeshwari Devi. Also, on every Ashadha masa Friday, devotees gather from nearby places, as well as from neighbouring states, to have the darshan of Chamundeshwari Devi. They visit the temple seeking blessings that bring prosperity, courage, protection and overall well-being to the family.
Although the temple administration introduced a ₹2,000 Special Darshan ticket, devotees still faced long queues even for the special darshan due to the overwhelming turnout. This created discomfort among the devotees who were waiting for long hours in the special darshan queue.
The temple administration has taken elaborate measures to manage the crowd. Separate queues, additional barricades, drinking water, a dedicated entry and exit point, medical aid, sanitation facilities, security personnel and other essentials were arranged to ensure easy, comfortable and smooth darshan of devotees from early morning till late evening.
Many devotees undertook traditional routes, climbing 1000 steps to the temple at the top as an act of devotion. The Chamundeshwari temple atmosphere was filled with festive spirit, Vedic chants, and traditional music. The temple priest performed special pujas, ahankaras, and abhishekas to Goddess Chamundeshwari.
There is a massive crowd expected on the fourth and final Ashadha Friday at the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, where thousands of devotees gather every year to worship the Goddess, and take her blessings.
