
Emphasizing the growing number of pilgrims each year, the MLA directed officials to strengthen all arrangements before the start of the yatra. District Magistrate Vishal Mishra highlighted that coordinated efforts from all departments and stakeholders are essential for the successful conduct of the Kedarnath Yatra.
During the meeting, officials were instructed to ensure the availability of medical camps, ambulances, and doctors along the yatra route. Directions were also issued to improve roads, trekking paths, electricity, and drinking water facilities. Special focus was placed on enhancing the pilgrim registration and tracking system, along with maintaining cleanliness and effective waste management.
Authorities were directed to complete all road and trekking route repairs by April 15. Instructions were also given to ensure adequate supply of fuel, food grains, and commercial gas cylinders during the yatra period. Additionally, proper registration, health check-ups, and management of horses and mules on the trekking route were emphasized.
The administration also stressed the need for better traffic management, sanitation, and basic amenities like toilets and shuttle services. Officials assured that all suggestions from stakeholders would be implemented to ensure a safe and seamless Kedarnath pilgrimage experience.
