Bengaluru – Tirtha Yatra has acquired a Goshala in Sringeri for its first goshala project.
Tirtha Yatra is a pilgrimage tourism company. But the purpose of Tirtha Yatra goes beyond temple tourism or a mere visit to holy kshetras. It is basically upholding and spreading Sanatana Dharma. Sanatana Dharma can be preserved only when it is practiced. It is only through the uninterrupted practice and endurance of our ancestors; we are able to practice and take forward Sanatana Dharma in today’s era. One of the integral elements of Sanatana Dharma is Go Samrakshana – protecting the cow.
Go Seva is taught by our Vedic Literature to be the topmost seva. Lord Krishna is also named as Govinda and Gopala – one who gives pleasure to cows and the one who takes care of cows. Cow is revered as one of the seven mothers a human being must give respect to. She is a residence of all the devatas. Rendering service to a cow is a sum and substance of every worship and all the vratas combined.
Go Samrakshana cannot be achieved just by talking big. It can be achieved only when we rear and take care of a cow at our homes – a practice which can carry forward this spiritual element of our Vedic society. Go Seva is not just charity but a responsibility of every Sanatani or Hindu. It can be understood that practically it is not possible to keep a cow at home and take care of it due to various restrictions. Then how to practice Go Seva? This is where Tirtha Yatra comes in; through its Goshala Project, it is creating an opportunity for doing a Go Seva.
Until now, with the support of our yatris, we were taking care of cows in other less known Goshalas. Finally, we have places of our own to serve Go Mata. We are pleased to announce that Sri Dham Seva Trust, an entity of Tirtha Yatra has acquired two suitable lands in the punya kshetras of Sringeri and Melkote. Very soon we shall be beginning with the construction of Goshala in Sringeri – a first of its kind project through which you can be part of Go Seva without you having to keep a cow at your home.
We invite you to become a part of Go Seva in any means suitable to you from the given options – Goshala Nirmana, Go Dana, Go Palana, Go Poshana. Click to donate.
