Thousands of devotees witnessed the final darshan, while the temple was adorned with flowers. Vedic rituals, chants, and devotional music by an Army band enhanced the spiritual ambiance. Following tradition, the idols and seats of deities and priests, including the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, were shifted to winter abodes, where worship continues until spring.
The closure rituals began four days prior with Panch Puja, followed by worship of Lord Ganesha, Lord Adi Kedareshwar, Adi Guru Shankaracharya, and Goddess Mahalakshmi. On November 25, Lord Badri Vishal was adorned with yellow flowers, and the former chief priest symbolically escorted Goddess Lakshmi in female attire.
