Authorities are also planning to strengthen crowd management systems and transportation facilities to handle the expected influx of millions of pilgrims, saints, and tourists during the mega event.
Special focus is being given to accommodation facilities, emergency medical services, parking areas, and public convenience infrastructure around major pilgrimage zones in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. Government departments are expected to work closely with local civic bodies, police authorities, and temple administrations to ensure seamless coordination and execution of preparations.
Held once every 12 years, the Simhastha Kumbh Mela holds immense spiritual significance in Hindu tradition. Devotees from across the country gather to take holy dips in the sacred Godavari River and participate in religious rituals, spiritual discourses, and traditional processions.
The approval of Rs 396 crore marks an important step in preparing Nashik and Trimbakeshwar for the spiritually significant Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027, which is expected to witness massive participation from devotees worldwide.
