One of the major highlights of the celebrations was the 108 Kalasha Abhisheka, a sacred ceremonial bathing of the Deities using water from 108 kalashas. The special abhisheka was a significant part of the Janmashtami festivities at the temple.
Devotees also participated in a range of Janmashtami Sevas, including Vastralankara Seva, Makhan Mishri Seva, Tulsi Archana Seva, and Vishesha Naivedya Seva. These offerings allowed devotees to express their devotion through traditional worship and sacred offerings to Bhagwan Sri Krishna.
The celebrations also included Gau Seva, providing devotees with an opportunity to participate in service to cows, which hold an important place in Krishna’s pastimes. Annadana Seva further added to the spirit of service, with food being offered and distributed as part of the celebrations.
ISKCON Bengaluru’s Krishna Janmashtami celebrations brought devotees and families together through devotional activities, seva, prayer and remembrance of Sri Krishna’s divine pastimes. The festival was observed with great spiritual significance, with devotees gathering for kirtans, worship and midnight celebrations marking Krishna’s appearance.
