The spiritual journey commenced on Tuesday evening from Tholi Pavancha, with devotees arriving from across Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring States. Tholi Pavancha is the starting point of Giri Pradakshina, after breaking coconuts. Pilgrims of all ages, including children, women, youth, and senior citizens, undertook the sacred walk with deep faith, chanting the Lord’s name throughout the route.
As the night progressed, major stretches including Gopalapatnam, Simhachalam, and the newly opened Lakshmi Narasimha Marg witnessed heavy pilgrim movement. Due to the overwhelming turnout, devotees moved slowly along several sections of the route, while authorities ensured smooth crowd management and essential services.
Despite the physical challenges of the overnight trek, thousands completed the Giri Pradakshina with unwavering devotion. After finishing the circumambulation, many devotees visited the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple for darshan, while others offered prayers at Tholi Pavancha before returning home.
According to officials at the Command-and-Control Centre, 5,84,149 devotees had participated in the pilgrimage by 5 a.m. on Wednesday. The return journey also witnessed heavy crowds at APSRTC bus stations and transport hubs as pilgrims headed back after successfully completing one of Andhra Pradesh’s most revered annual religious traditions.
