Sthala Purana of Jogulamba Devi Temple
Mother asked the boy to pray to Lord Shiva. Pleased by his devotion, Lord Shiva instructed him to build temples for all goddesses at Alampur.
King was cursed for his evil act by Rasa Siddha. The king later met a deer in the forest and asked for a solution to atone for his sins. The deer advised him to visit Brahmeswara Kshetra and rebuild the temples.

Navaratri / Dasara: This is a grand festival celebrated with great grandeur, where goddess Jogulamba is worshiped in nine different forms.
Ugadi: This is the Telugu New Year, which falls on Chaitra Shuddha Padyami, celebrated as the first day of the year.
Bonalu: This is the most prominent festival celebrated in Telangana. Large numbers of women gather and offer a bonam, a traditional pot filled with cooked rice, to the goddess, seeking her blessing. It is celebrated in Ashada masa (July/August).

By Train: Alampur Road Station is the nearest railway station to reach the temple. It is just 9 km away from the temple. Another railway station is Kurnool railway station, 45 km away. From here, taxi or bus facilities can be available.
By Road: There are frequent buses available from nearby cities like Kurnool (7 km), Mahbubnagar (96 km), and Bangalore (390 km).
