Project Highlights
The lighting design will be carefully curated to complement the temple’s intricate architecture, including the main shrine, sub-shrines, Ananda Bazar, and Meghnada Pacheri (outer wall). Advanced lighting techniques and fixtures will accentuate textures and architectural values, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere for devotees and visitors.
Servitor Jogendra Dasmohapatra emphasized the significance of the project, stating:
“While footfall has already increased since the Shree Mandira Parikrama beautification in January 2024, this illumination project will add immense value. It will allow devotees to appreciate the temple’s grandeur in the evening.”
Tourism and Economic Impact
Local residents and business owners have welcomed the initiative, anticipating a surge in tourism and economic activity. Ramesh Das, a shop owner near the temple, remarked:
“The illumination project will undoubtedly draw more visitors, especially during evenings, providing a significant boost to local businesses.”
The artistic integration of light will not only enhance the temple’s aesthetic appeal but also create a serene and spiritual ambiance, making evening visits a unique experience for pilgrims and tourists alike.
