Dec 18 – The 46th Jeeyar of Sri Ahobilam Mutt visited Tirtha Yatra office and blessed all the team members of Tirtha Yatra and devotees with the darshan of Sri Dolai Kannan.
It was an auspicious day filled with blessings for all the team members at the head office of Tirtha Yatra. The 46th Jeeyar of Ahobilam Mutt – His Holiness Srimate Srivan Satakopa Sri Ranganatha Yatheendra Maha Desikan (Azhagiyasingar) visited Tirtha Yatra’s head office in Malleswaram, along with the divya tirumeni (vigraha) of Sri Kannan.
His Holiness was received with poorna kumbha kalasha honors and an arati while the public in Malleswaram had an opportunity of darshan of Swamiji. The swagatam was followed by the unjal seva of Sri Dolai Kannan – a 3000-year-old vigraha of Lord Sri Krishna who was worshipped by Ramanujacharya Himself. This transcendental vigraha of Dolai Kannan is a unique vigraha in the whole world because there are bijakshara mantras imprinted on the body of the vigraha – the symbols unseen on any other vigraha. This vigraha is being worshiped in the Ahobilam Mutt since its inception.
Devotees rendered bhajans and kirtans in the glorification of Sri Krishna mentally taking everyone to the scene of Vrindavana where Mother Yashoda played with Sri Krishna and made Him sleep in the night. Swamiji enlightened the gathering with a lecture on the mahatmya of Sri Vrindavana Dham, stressing that out of all the forms of the parabrahman, Sri Krishna the purna purushottama Bhagavan is most easily accessible. He also emphasized that hari nama kirtana – particularly names of Rama and Krishna are the only means to attain Sadgati in Kali-yuga.
At the end Swamiji blessed all the devotees with akshate and prasadam of Sri Kannan. Sri Agrani Krishna Dasa, Founder-Managing Director of Tirtha Yatra, Sri Panduranga Dasa, Co-founder-CEO and Sri Anand Santhanam, Director received the blessings and prasadam from Swamiji along with all the team members. Sri Pratap Narasimhan, the central committee member of Ahobilam Mutt and Secretary of Swamiji for Karnataka Operations was also present.
Sri Agrani Krishna Dasa remarked, “The visit of His Holiness to the office of Tirtha Yatra is a great honor for all of us as this coincided with the completion of 48 Narasimha Yajnas which is performed every month in our head office for the peace and prosperity of the world. We feel ourselves very fortunate that Swamiji visited our office and blessed our team and the yatris. Ahobilam is very close to our hearts. Ahboilam Tour was the first tour Tirtha Yatra conducted. Today, by the blessings of Lord Narasimha, Tirtha Yatra conducts 40 tours to Ahobilam every year helping more than 600 devotees have darshan of Lord Narasimha.”
