Online Ticket Booking Now Available for Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchendur, and Palani Temples
Tamil Nadu, June 18, 2025 — In a major move to streamline temple visits and improve devotees’ convenience, online ticket booking services have now been made available for three prominent temples in Tamil Nadu — Tiruvannamalai Arunachaleswarar Temple, Tiruchendur Subramanya Swamy Temple, and Palani Dhandayuthapani Temple.
The initiative comes under the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department’s ongoing efforts to modernize temple administration and provide hassle-free darshan facilities to the growing number of devotees.
Pilgrims can now book special darshan, abhishekam, and archanai tickets through the official HR&CE online portal www.tnhrce.gov.in or through authorized mobile apps. The online system allows users to select time slots, avoid long queues, and make secure digital payments for services.
Officials stated that the introduction of this service is particularly beneficial during peak festival seasons and weekends when thousands of devotees visit these temples. It also supports crowd management and improves the overall spiritual experience.
Highlights of the Online Booking Service:
Tiruvannamalai Arunachaleswarar Temple: Special darshan and Girivalam entry passes are now bookable online. The temple, famous for its grand Karthigai Deepam festival, attracts lakhs every year.
Tiruchendur Murugan Temple: Devotees can now reserve slots for darshan, abhishekam, and special poojas in advance. The temple’s location near the sea makes it a unique destination for spiritual tourism.
Palani Murugan Temple: One of the six abodes of Lord Murugan, Palani now offers online booking for the famed milk abhishekam, rope car tickets, and golden chariot services.
Temple authorities have requested devotees to carry a valid photo ID and a digital or printed copy of the ticket at the time of darshan. A helpline and assistance desk have also been set up at each temple to support those unfamiliar with online systems.
This digital transition is expected to greatly enhance accessibility and efficiency, bringing a blend of tradition and technology to Tamil Nadu’s sacred spaces.
