Chairing a review meeting on Tuesday, the District Magistrate stressed that no ambulance should face technical issues or breakdowns during the pilgrimage. He instructed concerned departments to conduct thorough inspections and complete all necessary repairs in advance.
During the meeting, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Abhishek Gupta informed the administration that 108 ambulance services are currently operational across the district. At least two ambulances have been deployed in each development block to provide quick medical response along the Char Dham route.
Officials were also asked to maintain proper monitoring of ambulance response times and ensure availability of essential medical equipment, including oxygen support and emergency care facilities. The administration emphasized that timely medical assistance is crucial, especially considering the large number of pilgrims expected to visit Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri during the yatra.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to providing safe, efficient, and well-coordinated healthcare services to devotees undertaking the sacred Char Dham pilgrimage in 2026.
