The day carries immense spiritual significance as it coincides with Vivah Panchami, commemorating the divine union of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. Temple priests have described the occasion as a “once-in-a-lifetime event,” symbolizing faith, fulfillment, and the official completion of the Ram Temple’s construction.
According to the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, both President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi will lead the ceremony, accompanied by prominent seers, saints, and thousands of devotees from across India and abroad. Authorities are implementing high-level security and crowd-control measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, confirmed that the November 25 ceremony would officially mark the temple’s completion. Speaking to reporters on Thursday (October 9, 2025), Mishra called it a “historic” event, adding that the flag hoisting will symbolize the fulfillment of a centuries-old spiritual dream cherished by millions.
The ceremony follows the temple’s Bhumi Pujan performed by Prime Minister Modi on August 5, 2020, and the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony held on January 22, 2024. Mishra noted that the main temple structure is nearly complete, with finishing touches underway on the outer walls. Construction of the Sheshavatar Temple, Sapta Mandapam, and Pushkarni (holy pond) has already been completed, while a devotee shoe rack facility adjacent to the temple is expected to be ready by November.Ahead of the main event, a five-day Vedic ritual will be performed from November 21 to 25, featuring renowned seers from Ayodhya and Kashi. A recent review meeting attended by Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, and Gopal Rao of the Temple Trust expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of ongoing work.
As Ayodhya adorns itself with flowers, lights, and saffron flags, chants of “Jai Shri Ram” are set to fill the air — heralding not just a celebration, but the dawn of a new spiritual era for Bharat.
