President Murmu will begin her Gujarat visit by arriving in Rajkot on the evening of October 9. On October 10, she will offer prayers at the Somnath Temple and interact with tribal communities at Gir National Park. Her visit to Dwarka on October 11 will include Darshan and Aarti at the historic Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, which is believed to have been established over 2,500 years ago by Lord Krishna’s great-grandson, Vajranabh.
The Dwarkadhish Temple, a major pilgrimage site in India, stands as a symbol of devotion and heritage. The President’s visit is expected to highlight the temple’s cultural and spiritual significance, drawing attention to its ancient architecture and religious legacy.
Later on the same day, President Murmu will also attend the 71st Convocation Ceremony of Gujarat Vidyapith in Ahmedabad, where she will address students and faculty members.
The Gujarat government and local authorities have made extensive arrangements to ensure the President’s visit proceeds smoothly, including enhanced security, crowd management, and coordination with temple officials.
This visit underscores the importance of Gujarat’s spiritual and cultural landmarks and reflects the President’s commitment to engaging with diverse communities and promoting India’s rich heritage.
