Hassan, Karnataka — The sacred Hassanamba Temple, one of South India’s most revered temples, will open its doors to devotees on October 9, 2025, marking the beginning of the annual Hassanamba Jatra Mahotsava. The temple, which remains closed for most of the year, opens only once annually during the Deepavali season, drawing lakhs of devotees from across the country.

Hassanamba Temple Darshan Schedule

The Hassan District Administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure a smooth and safe darshan experience. The temple will remain open 24 hours a day, excluding puja hours, to accommodate the expected crowd of over 25 lakh devotees. Facilities such as barricades, CCTV surveillance, emergency medical services, drinking water stations, and temporary toilets have been set up to manage the influx.

To streamline the process and reduce waiting times, online ticket booking has been introduced. Devotees can choose between free darshan or purchase tickets priced at ₹300 and ₹1,000, which allow access through separate queues. Special arrangements have also been made for senior citizens and differently-abled devotees to ensure inclusive participation.

In addition to spiritual activities, the festival will feature cultural programs, heli-tourism, and special tourism packages, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. VIP visits have been regulated with designated time slots to avoid congestion and ensure fairness.
