Devotees who are not able to visit Jagannath Puri Ratha Yatra festival, shall now be able to pull the chariot of Lord Jagannatha in Bengaluru.
ISKCON Sri Vaikuntha Hill in Vasanthapura shall now be celebrating the grand Puri Ratha Yatra Festival year after year within the temple premises, bringing the blessings of Lord Jagannatha to the residents of Bengaluru.
The Ratha Yatra festival shall be observed on Friday, June 27, in the evening around 5 pm. Just like in Jagannath Puri, there are three chariots of Lord Jagannatha, Balabhadra and Subhadra which are getting renovated to ride the Lord of the Universe to Their representative Gundicha Temple within the temple premises just like Jagannath Puri. At the end, Their Lordships shall be dressed in the Sona Besha – a golden attire.
Thousands of devotees are expected to participate in the temple festival to pull the chariot of the Lord which also involves distribution of prasadam at the end of the festival.
Although more than 90 spiritual organizations or associations organize the Jagannath Puri Ratha Yatra in Bengaluru, ISKCON Vasanthpura tops them all in terms of the magnitude and resemblance to the age-old traditions of Jagannath Puri.
ISKCON Sri Vaikuntha Hill is an extension of ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Mandir, Rajajinagar.
Tirtha Yatra – a travel company in Bengaluru is organizing the Jagannath Puri Ratha Yatra festival this year from Jul 03 to 08, 2025 for the Bahuda Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath. For booking contact 9844700850.
