A Divine Initiative Promoting Ayurveda and Ecology
The “Divya Aushadha Vanam” will be located in the Seshachalam region, a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve. It will feature a rich collection of medicinal, aromatic, and sacred plants, many of which are used in Ayurvedic and traditional healing practices. The initiative supports TTD’s broader mission to preserve ancient knowledge while promoting sustainable and eco-friendly living.
The garden will include specialized zones like Deha Chikitsa Vanam and Sugandha Vanam, each showcasing plants with specific healing and aromatic properties. These zones will help devotees and visitors learn about the therapeutic value of nature and traditional Indian medicine.
Merging Faith with Environmental Awareness
Through this project, TTD aims to create awareness among pilgrims about Ayurveda, medicinal herbs, and holistic health. The initiative also aligns with TTD’s efforts to protect and enrich the Seshachalam Hills ecosystem, ensuring that spirituality and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
Tirumala, one of India’s most visited pilgrimage destinations with over 2.5 crore devotees annually, will soon add this sacred herbal garden as a new attraction that embodies the temple’s message of “Seva through Sustainability.”
A Symbol of Healing and Devotion
The Divya Aushadha Vanam represents TTD’s dedication to promoting traditional healing sciences and eco-conservation. It reflects a perfect harmony between devotion and nature — inspiring visitors to value both divine worship and ecological balance.
