Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced a simplified system for SSD tokens to manage the huge influx of devotees at the Tirumala temple. The SSD tokens provide fixed entry slots, significantly reducing waiting times for pilgrims.
What Are SSD Tokens?
SSD tokens allocate a fixed darshan time slot, typically between 14:00 and 15:00 hours, unlike the traditional system where devotees wait for 12 to 24+ hours. This token system shortens the wait to just 3 to 6 hours, making the darshan experience smoother and more convenient.
Where to Get SSD Tokens Daily?
Devotees can collect tokens daily from three offline counters in Tirupati:
- Srinivasam Complex (Central Bus Stand)
- Vishnu Nivasam (Railway Station)
- Bhudevi Complex (Alipiri Tollgate)
Strictly offline counters ensure the system is fair and transparent.
Daily Issue Timings
Tokens are issued for the next day’s darshan, with counters opening around 12:30 PM. Pilgrims, especially on weekends, are advised to join the queue by 11:00 AM due to limited quota availability.
Important Rules to Note
- Tokens are mandatory for all adults.
- Physical presence is required; tokens are non-transferable.
- Children under 12 get free entry with parents without a token.
- Each token entitles devotees to a free laddu prasadam.
