The decision comes as part of special crowd management measures taken by TTD during peak days when lakhs of pilgrims are expected at Lord Venkateswara’s temple in Tirumala. As a result, there will be no Break Darshan facility available for VIPs, NRIs, senior citizens, donors, physically challenged devotees, or parents with infants on the above-mentioned dates. Only protocol dignitaries will be exempt from this rule.
No Special Darshan for Senior Citizens and NRIs
TTD clarified that on September 24 to October 2, special entry darshans—which are usually provided to senior citizens, differently-abled devotees, donors, and parents with infants—will not be available. NRIs, who are generally allotted separate darshan slots, will also have to follow the general darshan queues during this period.
Reason Behind Cancellation
The temple administration anticipates a massive influx of pilgrims on these days due to special religious occasions and festival-related rituals. To ensure smooth crowd control, safety, and equal opportunity for all devotees, the VIP Break Darshan system has been temporarily suspended.
Advice for Pilgrims
Devotees are urged to arrive early and be prepared for longer waiting times in queue lines. TTD officials also recommend pilgrims to make use of online services for booking accommodation and darshan tickets in advance. Strict security and queue management systems will be in place to handle the large gatherings expected on these dates.
Tirumala: A Divine Destination
The Tirumala temple, one of the most visited religious sites in the world, witnesses lakhs of pilgrims every month who come to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. With the upcoming festival season, the temple town is expected to be vibrant with devotional fervor, cultural events, and spiritual celebrations.
Devotees planning their visit are requested to stay updated with official TTD notifications and follow the guidelines issued by the temple authorities.
