Under this special provision, 20 tickets are issued daily for newly married couples who wish to perform the sacred Kalyanotsavam Seva at Tirumala. Each ticket costs ₹1,000 per couple and can be obtained from the CRO (Central Reception Office) counters in Tirumala starting from 7:00 AM on a first-come, first-served basis.
Eligibility Criteria for Newly Married Couples
According to the guidelines, only couples who were married within the last one week are eligible to apply for this special quota. Devotees must carry valid documents such as wedding photographs, wedding invitation cards, government-issued ID proofs, and a marriage certificate (if available). Couples are also required to register one day in advance to participate in the ritual.
Seva Timings and Reporting Details
The Kalyanotsavam Seva is performed between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, and participants must report at the Supadam Entrance by 10:00 AM on the day of the seva. Entry will be permitted only after completing the necessary verification and formalities.
Divine Significance of Kalyanotsavam
Kalyanotsavam is one of the most sacred rituals performed at Tirumala, symbolizing the divine wedding of Venkateswara with Lakshmi and Padmavathi. Devotees believe that participating in this ritual brings marital harmony, prosperity, and divine blessings.
Special Darshan After the Ritual
After completing the ceremony, couples will also receive special darshan of Lord Venkateswara along with prasadam and blessings. This initiative by TTD aims to provide newly married couples a memorable and spiritually enriching beginning to their married life at one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage destinations.
