This new development marks a significant step in transforming the Amaravati Temple into a major spiritual destination. Designed in authentic Tirumala-style temple architecture, the project includes 5-storey Vayu Gopurams on the West, North, and South sides, ensuring an iconic and traditional look similar to the sacred Tirumala shrine. A stunning 7-storey Maha Rajagopuram is set to rise on the East side, becoming the main visual highlight of the temple complex.
Inside the newly planned Second Prakaram, TTD will construct key structures such as a Hanuman Temple, Utsava Mandapam, and a Koneru (Temple Tank) strategically positioned facing the Maha Rajagopuram. These additions are expected to enhance the devotional atmosphere, support major rituals, and offer improved facilities for thousands of devotees who will visit the temple in the coming years.
The Amaravati Sri Venkateswara Temple is envisioned as a centre of faith for the capital region, and this expansion project reinforces TTD’s commitment to building a spiritually vibrant environment. With the foundation ceremony approaching, devotees and local residents eagerly anticipate the rapid progress of the temple’s construction.
The Second Prakaram project not only strengthens the cultural identity of Amaravati but also positions the temple as a future landmark for pilgrims across Andhra Pradesh and beyond.
