Record ₹2.32 Crore for 10-kg Ganesh Laddu in Hyderabad – Entirely Donated to Charity

Hyderabad, September 6, 2025 — In a spectacular blend of devotion and philanthropy, a 10-kg Ganesh laddu at Keerti Richmond Villas in Bandlaguda fetched a record-breaking ₹2.32 crore at auction, outperforming last year’s ₹1.87 crore tally. This remarkable event, emblematic of faith meeting social responsibility, saw around 80 villa owners forming four bidding groups and placing nearly 500 bids over 2.5 hours, with the auction running from 8:15 PM to about 10:40 PM.

 

Charitable Impact through RV-Diya Trust

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the RV Diya Charitable Trust, an initiative started by the villa owners. The trust supports over 42 NGOs focusing on elderly care, women’s empowerment, education, nutrition, healthcare, and animal welfare — collectively impacting more than 10,000 lives.
