According to official sources, the President will arrive at Nilakkal base camp before proceeding to Pamba and then trekking or traveling by special vehicle to the Sannidhanam, the hilltop abode of Lord Ayyappa. The President is expected to offer prayers and review the arrangements for the upcoming Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
Extensive security measures have been put in place in coordination with the Kerala Police, Travancore Devaswom Board, and the district administration. The entire pilgrimage route—from Nilakkal to Sannidhanam—will remain under tight surveillance. Devotees have been advised to follow all official instructions and expect temporary restrictions during the high-profile visit.
Temple officials confirmed that regular darshan for devotees will continue, but under controlled timing slots to ensure safety and crowd management. Authorities are focusing on traffic control, emergency response systems, and sanitation facilities to maintain smooth operations on the day of the visit.
The President’s pilgrimage to Sabarimala is seen as a gesture of deep respect for Kerala’s spiritual traditions. The temple, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa—symbol of unity and devotion—attracts millions of pilgrims annually from across India.
The visit also comes at a time when the temple administration is enhancing digital booking systems and infrastructure ahead of the busy pilgrimage months of November 2025 to January 2026.
With the golden temple illuminated against the backdrop of the Western Ghats, Sabarimala is gearing up for a moment of divine significance as the President seeks the blessings of Lord Ayyappa on October 22.
