Prathistha Divas of Shri Kainchi Dham: Abode of Sri Neem Karoli Baba
June 15, 2025, marked the celebration of Prathistha Divas at the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram. This ashram was founded on this very day in the year 1964. A grand annual fair was organized to commemorate this auspicious event.
The Uttarakhand government had implemented essential measures to ensure a structured, neat, efficient, and pleasant experience for pilgrims traveling to this revered spiritual destination.
District Magistrate Vandhana and Senior Superintendent of Police Prahlad Narayan Meena were overseeing crowd management. This year, there was a significant surge in devotees arriving from distant places to seek the blessings of Neem Karoli Baba.
To manage traffic, the government had arranged shuttle services from March 26 onwards, reducing the number of vehicles accessing the ashram.
Numerous CCTVs and drone cameras were deployed to monitor the crowd.
The district administration provided various services to ease and comfort devotees, including medical centers, drinking water facilities, mobile toilets, and shady rest areas.
Since morning, many rituals had taken place. Bhajans and kirtans were sung to enhance the sanctity of the place. Havans were conducted, increasing the spiritual vibe. A great bhandara was organized to feed lakhs of pilgrims.
“Sub-EK”—All is one—is the teaching of Neem Karoli Baba. Throughout his life, his message to devotees was to love and serve everyone. Baba also emphasized the importance of remembering God at all times and speaking the truth.
Neem Karoli Baba’s wisdom has inspired many celebrated personalities. They come here to seek spiritual tranquility and guidance. Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, visited the ashram in 1974. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, visited in 2015. Julia Roberts, the Hollywood actress (1990), Virat Kohli, the famous Indian cricketer (2018), and Larry Page, co-founder of Google, have also paid their homage to Baba.
