Magh Mela 2026 Begins in Prayagraj With Multiple Auspicious Snan Dates

Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: The annual Magh Mela 2026 has commenced at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge. The month-long spiritual fair officially began on 3 January 2026 with the Paush Purnima holy dip and is scheduled to continue until 15 February 2026, concluding on Mahashivaratri.

The Magh Mela, deeply rooted in tradition, sees millions of devotees, ascetics, and pilgrims gather to take ritual baths (snans), perform prayers, and engage in meditation and charitable activities. Many participants also observe Kalpavas — a month-long vow of austerity involving meditation, simple living near the riverbanks, and daily prayers.
