As per the latest decision, the monthly salary of Kashi’s pujaris has tripled, reaching ₹90,000 per month, along with government employee status.

For decades, the pujaris of the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple—one of the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva—had been demanding better pay, promotions, and social security benefits.
